The NICU is staffed by board-certified neonatologists who are educated, skilled and equipped to handle critical newborn situations. The St. Alexius NICU has been serving the region for more than 25 years. The St. Alexius NICU has state-of-the art technology and equipment to care for those born: Prematurely With respiratory complications With life-threatening medical conditions Care conferences may be held periodically with family members and the health care team to discuss the diagnosis, treatment and progress of your baby. Prior to your baby's discharge, your primary nurse will coordinate discharge teaching, and cover all of your baby's needs such as feeding and bathing, to help you feel comfortable in caring for your baby at home.
